Former Republican Party of Florida Chairman Jim Greer recently revealed in depositions that the Republicans in Florida conducted meetings to suppress the black vote in Florida.
Tonight he appeared on MSNBC for an interview on Politics Nation. In the interview he said that in all his time as chairman of the party, voter fraud was never an issue, never discussed as a problem, and there was "no validity" to voter fraud whatsoever.
Because 54% of Floridians voted early in 2008, when minorities were more likely to vote, the Republican Party of Florida discussed reducing early voting hours, and making registration harder. He said if they couldn't control who people voted for, they would have to control those voters getting to the polls.
He also said that Rick Scott and Republicans are using "voter fraud" as a marketing tool to suppress the minority vote, because they want to "make sure that what happened in 2008 never happens again."
As in re-electing President Obama in 2012.
