Rick Scott is always fond of adding the word "historic" to things he claims to fund in his budgets when it's apparent it's anything but, like education and funding for the environment. The GOP lawmakers do the same thing, but they managed to illustrate that absurdity rather well with news today of the special session over redistricting that just ended last week:
Florida taxpayers paid more than $651k for June special session - most expensive special session in 15 years according to Senate tally— Gary Fineout (@fineout) August 24, 2015
There's a history lesson for you, taxpayers. The GOP just flushed an historic amount of your money down the drain in return for absolutely nothing, and that's on top of all the money they blew on absolutely nothing during the last special sessions when Floridians continued to go without Medicaid expansion.
The GOP says you're welcome, and thanks for that added bonus along with our paychecks!
